House Of Hats

House Of Hats

In 2011 a group of four friends (Noddy, Alex, James and Rob), all exceptionally talented musicians, sat down to play together for the first time.

House of Hats was born. All members had enjoyed successful musical stints prior to this, having recording with Pete Smith (Sting, Squeeze) and supporting the likes of The Police, Paolo Nutini and The Script.

The sound that has been unearthed from Brighton based quartet House of Hats is a pure, honest and soothing acoustic sound, often associated with the singer/songwriter genre, which if caught live is absolutely mesmerising.

There have been many comparisons to Fleetwood Mac and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young along the way, however the band has certainly stamped their unique style on the singer-songwriter and folk scene.

House of Hats wrote, recorded and self-produced their debut self-titled EP, which was released worldwide in December 2011 through iTunes.

Currently the band are set to self-release their 2nd EP ‘Rivers Will Run’ in September 2012, which was recorded with producer Tim Bidwell (Kate Walsh).

2012 sees the band on the bill of some fantastic festivals, with a headline slot at the prestigious Cambridge Folk Festival.

With their loyal fan base, passion and pure talent, House of Hats, still a relatively young venture, are moving forward with momentum and intent.
