Metronomy

Metronomy

Since the runaway success of their recent album ‘Nights Out’, Metronomy are back with their next single, ‘A Thing For Me’ and a full UK tour.

Underpinned by perfectly arranged guitar chords, drum machines and general electric trickery, Metronomy turn out an ‘80’s inspired disco take on the modern love song.

“I’ve got my mind made up, you got my heart you know, I’ve got a thing for you, you’ve got a thing for me”

A tale of mutual attraction played out over a night at a club, ‘A Thing For Me’ is bright, engaging and catchy as hell. By now, some of you may also be familiar with the dance moves that accompany it too.

The video for ‘A Thing For Me’ will be directed by Megaforce (Late of the Pier et al) and remixes across the formats come from Sinden, Blackout Crew, Nightmoves, Breakbot, Fontan and the master of dub Mad Decent

After a summer of festivals (NB their nomination for Best Festival Dance Act at this years UK Festival Awards), Metronomy are poised to head out on their forthcoming UK tour. A Halloween show at London’s ULU promises to be replete with special effects and general ghastly mayhem. Do not miss it as Metronomy’s star will continue to rise well into 2009.
