Roll Deep are a MOBO Award-nominated London-based grime music collective with a 25 date club tour and new album on the way. With Wiley as a prominent member and Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder as former members, I’m surprised I haven’t heard of these lads before.
Ahead of the tour, I asked Roll Deep the 15 Questions We Ask Everyone and found out - EXCLUSIVELY - that they will be ‘dropping’ a new clothing line this summer… get your reading glasses on and check it out.
Hello there little monster, what are you up to?
Hey, we're currently rehearsing for our 25 date club tour which starts 1st April, and working on the rest of our album for release later in the year.
So, tell me a bit about what you’re here to promote?
Well our brand new single 'Goodtimes' ft. Jodie connor, it is out on April 25th so I guess that’s all about that for the time being.
And if we didn’t have any clue as to who you were, what three words sum you up?
Multi-talented musicians
And as Jacko had the Moonwalk and Elvis had the snake hips, what do you have that makes you unique?
I think our diversity and ability to switch things up is a very good strength, plus we kinda helped to pioneer and start the whole 'grime' thing.
Now, clearly we need to get to know each other more, so tell me an interesting fact about you that noone else knows?

If I was contemplating coming to your show or sitting at home and TV, how would you convince me to come out?
I'd send u a video link for one of our shows, and after u watch it, you'll be there in a flash.
And if you were to take me on a trip to your hometown, what would be the first place we’d go?
East London, probably a tour of the estate we grew up on, and then our studio which is also nearby
Who was the last person you called / text and what for?
Last person I (target) text was Scratchy checking if he was gonna be on time
If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?
Flying and the power to freeze time would be nice
If you had to date a member of the same sex (or opposite sex if the case may be) who would it be?
There's a few ladies that we like at the moment, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Eva Mendes, Amber Rose, I could be here all day listing our potential dates… lol
What was the last thing you bought?
A bottle of water
If you were to send someone to prison for crimes against music, who would it be?
Jedward probably, although they are jokes lol
What were you doing last night at 11?
We were all doing different things, Flo was in Russia, Target was on the radio, Scratchy was writing lyrics, and I'm not sure about the rest.
