For those who may be unfamiliar with your music, how best would you describe your sound?

I would describe my sound as mainstream pop with an influence of singer/songwriter.

Where do you draw influence and inspiration from for your material?

In my opinion, being a songwriter means being a storyteller. I like to write songs that people can relate to and feel in their own personal ways. Whether it’s about love, heartbreak or friendships and relationships, I focus on finding a way to put myself in the listener’s shoes.

When did you first start getting involved in the world of music?

I’ve been playing drums and guitar from a very early age, but my first start in the industry came at 19-years-old when I started recording demos in a studio in Chicago.

What challenges have you had to face within the industry so far?

Whenever you are building something from the ground up it always takes time. You learn as you go and you have to understand that it’s all a process.

How important is it for you to have creative control over your direction in this business?

It’s extremely important for me to have an oversight of all that’s going on in my career and making sure I have my own voice, but I don’t stress about having full control. I’m a firm believer in letting professionals do their jobs in their respected fields. Whether it’s producers, directors, creative designers, I provide my voice and vision and let them bring it to life. Finding the balance of quality feedback and cooperation can help make a project extremely successful.

If you could collaborate with anybody moving forward, who would you choose and why?

I would love to collaborate with Bruno Mars. Not only is he one of my biggest inspirations, but he is definitely at the top of his game and currently a powerhouse within the music industry.

Do you have any definitive aims or goals for your career?

Earning my respect within the industry with well-crafted music, an amazing show and a great work ethic is my main goal.

What’s your favourite music for the summer?

I’m not too picky! I usually have my phone plugged in when I drive and I like to listen to the top charts playlists.

What should we expect from you in the coming months?

New music and videos will be coming out very soon and I’m putting together shows for the summer and fall leg! Stay tuned!
