When did you realise that this career path was one you wanted to go down?

Actually I can't remember making this decision... Since I attended a special music school at a very young age, it was always kind of clear that I'm going to pursue a career in music. It was rather if I wanted to focus on the piano or the voice / classical or pop music...

What is it about the world of music that you love?

I love how music can change everything. It can take you somewhere else, but it can also help you to be in the moment, it can calm you, it can push you, it has no boundaries. Music connects the whole world.

Tell us about your journey into the industry so far.

Since the age of 15 I've been touring a lot. I've always seen both worlds - singing live or in the studio, having a good time away from home, writing songs, working on my record, etc., but also the part, where you have to earn enough money to get by. That can be hard sometimes, but I build my house on different musical walls that till now hold together nicely. So I'm very happy that doing what I love, also pays my rent.

You recently released the music video for your track 'Unknown', what was the experience like of filming that piece?

It was all very exciting. We shot it in Bushwick, Brooklyn and the whole crew and experience was amazing. We had a wonderful time.

How did you find the response to that track and video?

As an artist you sometimes lose perspective and can't tell anymore, if something is good or not. So I was super happy, when the feedback was so incredibly positive and that so many people love the uplifting vibe of the track and video. Is there a better feeling than that? I don't think so!

Going forward, if you could work with or collaborate with anybody, who would you choose and why?

If I could travel back in time it would be Billie Holiday - definitely. I love her - her incredible way of letting you feel her emotions through her voice... For years now 'Lady Day' has been the inspiration for me.

What should we expect from you in the coming weeks and months?

I'm really looking forward to the releases of my EP called 'Unknown' in April and my album 'Grey' in summer. I will definitely go on tour again and will try to spread my music all around the globe...

Do you have any definitive aims or goals for your career?

My goal is simple. My goal is to touch hearts with my music.
