Amy Love and Georgia South make up South East London duo Nova Twins, and the pair recently made an incredible return to the music scene with their infectious new single Lose Your Head, out now via Flying Vinyl. Celebrating the song's release, we caught up with the talented two to find out a little bit more about what inspires them, where they see their career going and much more. Read on to find out what they had to say...

For those who may be new to your music, how best would you describe your sound?

Amy - Raucous fiery ball of energy...

What challenges have you faced in the music industry so far?

Georgia - We feel that we have to shout and play a little bit louder to be heard by the industry, being not only women but women of colour in the rock world...  But we see it as a rewarding challenge as we get to inspire and be that symbol for girls to look at growing up that we wish we had more of when we were young learning the bass and guitar.

How difficult would you say this career path is in terms of making a name for yourself?

Amy - Its not the easiest road to take but I wouldn’t take any other route, all the highs are worth the lows and I’m so grateful that we are able to do something we love every day!

How important is it for you to have creative control over the work you produce?

Georgia - Very important, we always have a clear vision in what we what our music to sound like and the visuals that go along with it. We've always been massively creative and hands on in that way. However we also love collaborating with like minded people whether that's a producer or a photographer for example.

Where do you draw influence and inspiration from for your work?

Amy - Mainly from things we have experienced but also movies, myths, sounds from our pedal boards... Anything goes and that's the fun of it!

If you could collaborate with anybody going forward, who would you choose and why?

Georgia - Emmm. Me personally would choose to work with a badass producer like Dr. Dre, Timbaland or Pharrell. I take inspiration from dirty synths, hip hop tracks and productions on songs so working with any of these people would be sick!

Tell us a random, funny fact about you that not many people know.

Amy - We both wear the same shoe size but never share shoes... Random, but I guess not that funny!

Do you have definitive aims or goals for your career?

Georgia - Yes, we wanna release an album and continue to explore the world doing shows. That's our favourite thing to do!

Where do you hope to be this time next year?

Amy - Touring the ALBUM!
