Union J

Union J missed a sound check on 'X Factor' because Josh Cuthbert was playing Pokemon in the toilet.

The 21-year-old star who was competing in last year's series of the singing contest along with JJ Hamblett, Jaymi Hensley and George Shelley had locked himself in the toilet when he decided to play the game on his Nintendo but unfortunately his bandmates couldn't find him.

Talking to FemaleFirst at a press conference in London (04.10.13), Union J said: "We actually missed one of our sound checks on the show one week for Saturday night on Saturday afternoon because nobody could find Josh for two hours because he was in the disabled toilet, locked in there, playing Pokemon."

He used to hide out in the toilets as it was the only place he would not be disturbed and managed to spend hours entertaining himself with the characters from the anime series.

Josh explained to us: "The only place you could hide from the researchers nagging you was the toilet. So I used to sit on the toilet seat for literally two hours just playing it and I used to see different feat next to me when they would obviously be on the toilet next to me.

"There would maybe be about seven or eight different feet before I thought ok, somebody is going to think someone has died in there or something."

The boys are helping to celebrate the worldwide launch of 3D Pokémon adventure Pokémon X and Pokémon Y and are planning to change their name to Union XY on October 12 - the same date the new game will be released.
