The 2,426th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been given to movie composer Hans Zimmer.
The Oscar winner behind the music for movies like Rain Man, Gladiator, The Lion King, As Good As It Gets and this year's Inception will unveil the pavement prize on 8 December.
Inception director Christopher Nolan will be among those paying tribute to Zimmer at the event.
The composer plans to dedicate his star on the Walk of Fame to his longtime friend and publicist Ronni Chasen, who was shot dead while driving through Beverly Hills last month.
