Jennifer Hudson was left speechless by a 12-year-old newcomer who has just signed to Ellen DeGeneres' record label when the two singers performed a duet together on the comedienne's talk show yesterday (March 30th).
Pre-teen Savannah Robinson realised her dream when she got to belt out And I Am Telling You with Hudson on the programme - and the Dreamgirls star gave the youngster a big boost by telling her she was "a natural" after she composed herself following the stirring performance.
Robinson said: "That was amazing. I would never think I would be able to do that (sing with her heroine) and I just did."
Hudson added: "She's such a natural... I was watching her in rehearsal and she could do it over and over and over again and it just felt like the first time... It took me back to when I was, like, her age... She's very talented."
It was then the 12-year-old's turn to be speechless when Hudson presented her with special VIP passes for her upcoming tour.
Hudson, who burst onto the scene as a contestant on American Idol, also insisted the newcomer join her onstage for another performance during the tour.
