The Horrors cancel shows due to illness

The Horrors have cancelled two shows in the UK to allow frontman Faris Badwan to seek medical advice for the issues with his voice.

The band was due to play in Edinburgh last night and Liverpool tonight, but have scrapped the gigs over concerns for Badwan's health.

In a post on their website, the frontman explains: "Unfortunately I've had some problems with my voice in the last few days and am currently on a train back to London to see a Doctor.

"We made it through last night's show in Newcastle but I am worse today so have no choice but to cancel... If there was any other solution I would jump on it... we will reschedule as soon as possible but for now I can only sincerely apologise for postponing these two shows."

The Horrors are next scheduled to play in Oxford on Friday.
