The 'All Rise' hitmakers already have two members, Duncan James [Ryan Knight] and Lee Ryan [Woody Woodward], acting in soap operas 'Hollyoaks' and 'EastEnders' respectively, but have revealed their aspirations to "evolve" the Blue brand further.

Anthony Costa said: "I wouldn't rule put a musical, we've been around a long long time now so we have the songs.

"There's possibilities for anything to happen with Blue.

"We are continuing to evolve and move with the times, that's just the way we are as a band.

Next year we tour with Steps then enter the studio again so we are quite multi-faceted."

The group - completed by Simon Webbe - recently made a mockumentary for npower's Go Green tariff system, which sees the 'One Love' stars re-branded as Green, and Duncan says there is plenty of opportunity for them to develop it into a comedy series for the small screen, similar to Ricky Gervais' 'The Office'.

Speaking specifically about the sitcom idea, he told the Daily Star newspaper: "I'm hoping people will react to it and we can carry it on ... like 'The Office'.

"We have an actor pretending to be Anthony's Greek uncle and he becomes our manager and rebrands us as Green. There's a TV show in it."

Meanwhile, Duncan - who is leaving the Channel 4 soap after two years - revealed that his bosses never give him his script before the day in order to keep it top secret.

He said: "We aren't allowed to talk about it - they are all under embargo so they don't even tell us anything in case it gets out.

"The most important part of these shows is to keep your mouth shut."

In the meantime, Blue head out on tour with fellow 90s acts Steps and Aqua in 2018, and they are in the studio working on their sixth album.
