Britney Spears is a major force in the music industry, and it's now been revealed just why her residency in Las Vegas has been extended.

Turning things around for Planet Hollywood, her arrival on the strip has meant that the hotel-casino's annual operating earnings have been given a $20 million boost.
Insiders on Wall Street claim that Britney has singlehandedly been instrumental in helping fill Planet Hollywood's 2,520 rooms, and boosted profits to almost $100 million.
This figure is now being used to modernise the Quad into the new Linq hotel, and rooms and pools at Planet Hollywood are also being redecorated and upgraded.
Britney will now be continuing her residency in Vegas until at least 2017.
