The EDM superstar wants to get as many true soccer fans as he can on the track - which is the official song of the tournament to be held in France, his home country, next summer - to provide the "heart" of the tune.

In a statement, he said: "I'm so excited to be working with UEFA on this project in my home country. UEFA EURO 2016 is all about the fans and I want to put them at the heart of everything, especially the music. So I'm trying something very special and asking fans around the world to celebrate this festival of football by being part of the Official Song."

The 48-year-old superstar DJ previously shared his joy of being invited to "honour" his country of France with the football anthem.

He told BANG Showbiz: "I have this record I did for UEFA. That is crazy; it is a big honour for me representing my country."

The 'Hey Mama' hitmaker has written and produced the song, which will be the figurehead for UEFA's global music campaign and will be played live at the Stade de France at the opening and closing ceremonies at the Champ de Mars underneath the Eiffel Tower and at an interactive experience as part of the UEFA EURO 2016 Trophy Tour.

Fans can get involved by visiting www.euro2016.com/davidguetta to record their part.

David will then use fans recordings and mix them into his 'This One's For You' which will be released in spring 2016.
