Currently in the midst of a legal battle with singer Kesha, who alleges the music producer raped her and mentally abused her throughout her career, he saw a win in court recently when a requested injunction for Kesha to terminate her contract was denied by a New York judge.

Despite her legal loss, Kesha has gained support from some huge names in the business including Adele, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus, as well as the support of her legions of fans who have staged protests outside of Sony's headquarters in New York. A new protest is currently being planned for Friday, March 11, where four petitions are expected to be delivered boasting 411,000 signatures, calling on bosses to allow Kesha to leave.

Yesterday (March 9), there was some suggestion that Sony chiefs were beginning to heel to the pressure and were preparing to cut their contract short with Luke, ahead of its expiration date next year.

However, Luke's attorney has now set the record straight in a statement, saying: "This is not true. Luke has an excellent relationship with Sony. His representatives are in regular contact with executives at the highest levels at Sony and this has never come up."

Despite such amazing support, Sony's team have said they're not in the position to terminate Kesha's deal.

Lawyer Scott A. Edelman stated: "Sony is doing everything it can to support the artist in these circumstances, but is legally unable to terminate the contract to which it is not a party."
