The 23-year-old presenter - boyfriend of grime star and most-nominated act Stormzy, who has five nods this year - will be joined at the ceremony at Leeds' First Direct Arena on November 29 by JLS star Marvin as they dish out the prizes and introduce the performers on the night.

Maya said: "I could not be more thrilled to announce that I will be hosting this year's MOBO Awards in Leeds. It's an honour to be included as they celebrate their 22nd year - it's going to be massive. The night can't come soon enough!"

And Marvin added: "The MOBOs have been a huge part of my life, I've been lucky enough to attend, perform and win over the years so now to be back as a host alongside Maya Jama is a huge honour! I can't wait for next week, it's gonna be a big night in Leeds!"

Organisers of the bash have also promised some "spectacular special guest performances".

'Britain's Got Talent' winner Tokyo Myers will take to the stage for a stellar rendition of Ed Sheeran's 'Bloodstream' before introducing the B Positive Choir for a moving, world exclusive performance of Andra Day's 'Rise Up'.

The 60-person strong choir comprises of individuals who either live with sickle cell or are families, friends and supporters of those who are affected by the disease. The choir members, who have come from all over England, will be led by Choir Master Colin Anderson.

Craig David received his sixth MOBO at the Pre-MOBO Awards Show on Monday night (20.11.17).

The 'Heartline' singer - who releases his new album 'The Time Is Now' on January 26 - picked up Best R&B/Soul Act at the bash held at Boisdale, Canary Wharf in London.

Of his latest award, the 36-year-old heartthrob wrote on Twitter: "Thank you so much! So honoured & grateful to win tonight! #TheTimeIsNOW #MOBOAwards (sic)"

Craig's latest win follows his Best R&B Act, Best UK Newcomer and Best UK Single gongs from 2000, Best UK Act in 2001 and last year's Best Male Act.

It comes after Gregory Porter was presented with the MOBO Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

All eyes will be on the main event, which will see the likes of Cardi B, Krept & Konan, Stefflon Don, Yungen and Yxng Bane perform.
