Noel Gallagher reunited with his former Oasis bandmate Gem Archer for a gig on the weekend.

The 48-year-old rocker was joined by the guitarist for the first time since 2010 at his acoustic gig in Lincoln, central England, to perform Oasis tracks 'Wonderwall', 'Cast No Shadow', 'Listen Up' and 'Slide Away'.

Just 200 fans watched the pair in action at Bishop Grosseteste University on Saturday night (05.12.15) and marked the first time that Noel and Gem have teamed up since they joined forces for Noel's Teenage Cancer Trust show at London's Royal Albert Hall in March 2010.

The High Flying Birds frontman also performed Oasis classics 'The Importance Of Being Idle' and 'Half The World Away' before finishing off his set with 1996 single 'Don't Look Back In Anger'.

High Flying Birds bass player Russell Pritchard was also on stage with Noel to perform 'The Death of You and Me' and 'If I Had a Gun...' from his solo albums.

Following Oasis' split in August 2009, Gem joined Noel's brother Liam Gallagher to form new group Beady Eye with fellow former Oasis members Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock.

Despite Noel and Gem teaming up together on Saturday night, the chances of Oasis getting back together before the end of next year don't look to have improved much with bookmaker Ladbrokes making it a 10/1 outside bet for the group to team up again before 2015 draws to a close.
