The reality TV star and club DJ released her debut record 'Paris' in 2006, and it has been a long wait for a follow-up - but now it's been revealed she has plans for her second LP.

Time magazine spent some time with Paris during a recent DJ set and she promised the publication that fans could expect a "whole new sound" from the new tracks.

The 36-year-old singer named the likes of Katy Perry, DJ Chuckie, Michael Jackson and Madonna amongst her biggest influences, and said the album would boast a "deep house, techno-pop and electro-pop" sound.

Paris - the great-granddaughter of hotel mogul Conrad Hilton - also took aim at her haters, and dismissed criticisms regarding her claim to fame.

She added: "Inventing getting paid to party - I'm sorry, people want to hate on that? I think it's pretty awesome."

The star was DJing at the Amnesia club in Ibiza when the magazine shadowed her, and she played "techno remixes" of classic hits like 'Wonderwall' by Oasis and Michael Jackson's 'P.Y.T.'

Reports of a new album suggest Paris has had a change of heart, after hinting over summer that stand-a-lone singles could be the way forward for her musical career.

She said at the time: "I'm mostly focused on just singles, I think that's just how it is nowadays with the music industry. It's not really about albums. So yeah I've been working on my second album forever, but I'm also running a huge business and doing a million other things."
