The 73-year-old musician and the 50-year-old rocker teamed up for a rendition of classic Beatles song 'Helter Skelter' much to the delight of fans at the sold-out KeyArena.

Krist took to his Twitter account to share his joy at performing with one of his musical idols with his fans.

He tweeted: "I really am mindful of all the blessings ... Paul McCartney is the best! (sic)"

A photograph of the two icons together on stage was shared on Paul's official Twitter account with the caption "Helter Skelter with Krist Novoselic in Seattle #OneOnOne (sic)"

Paul and Krist previously worked together on 'Cut Me Some Slack', a track they performed at the '12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief' benefit concert in December 2012, and the track was later released as a studio recording.

Paul played to his adoring fans for almost three hours and his setlist included songs from the full breadth of his career with The Fab Four, Wings and as a solo artist.

Highlights included 'A Hard Day's Night', 'FourFiveSeconds' - his track with Kanye West and Rihanna - 'Band On the Run', 'Live and Let Die', 'Lady Madonna' and 'Hey Jude'.

At one point, he even played 'In Spite of All the Danger' from 1958 when The Beatles were known as the Quarrymen.

Paul is currently on the North American leg of his 'One On One' world tour for the rest of April and he will head to South America in May.
