The first two acts for this year's Radio 1's Big Weekend have been announced as well as the location for the event, as it returns to Scotland for the first time since 2006.

Paolo Nutini and Rita Ora will be taking to the stage over the course of the two days it's scheduled to run, and further big names are expected to be announced in the months leading up to the biggest UK free-ticketed festival.

Over 60,000 fans will be able to enjoy the performances that take place on May 24 and 25, and a night dedicated to dance has also been added on Friday May 23.

Further information on how to claim tickets for the Glasgow-based festival will be released live on Radio 1 in March.
