The 40-year-old rapper and DJ Khaled attended the American Music Awards together on Sunday night (20.11.16) and Ross took the opportunity to confirm his LP is coming soon.

Ross wore a black sweat shirt with the album's title emblazoned across it in white writing and as he entered the ceremony he was reading a copy of Khaled's new book 'The Keys'.

The 'Purple Lamborghini' hitmaker also logged on to his Twitter account to share the news and reveal the cover for his ninth LP to his followers as well as a short video showing the title being spray painted.

In tweets he wrote: "There will be bloodshed. Early 2017 ... Rather You Than Me ... I pray you live rich forever."

Speaking on the red carpet at the AMAs, Ross - also known as Rozay and Renzel - offered reporters a riddle about Khaled's tome 'The Keys' when discussing what his advice would be to aspiring rappers.

He said: "A lot of times people ask me, Rozay, what advice can you give me to get where you at? This has the keys."

At the ceremony, Ross and Khaled performed 'Do You Mind' from the latter's latest album 'Major Key' along with Nicki Minaj, Future and August Alsina.

'Rather You Than Me' is Ross' first record since 'Black Market', which was released in December 2015.

It is his first release on new label Epic Records who he signed with after leaving Def Jam.
