The 'One Strike' group admit it is impossible for them to be on the road for long stints because of their commitments to their families and they don't want the constant "guilt" of being away from their kids.

Natalie Appleton - who has daughter Rachel 23, from a past relationship and son Ace, 12, with husband Liam Howlett - said: "I don't think we're going to put that much pressure on ourselves [to go away for long]. I don't think we can.

"Shaznay (Lewis) has two little ones (Tyler-Xaine, 10, and Tigerlily, six) so we can't do much touring.

"I think there has to be a balance, if it's too much one way, we're not going to enjoy it.

"So we've got to do it sporadically and not be pulled one way or another, because if we're pulled then we'll have guilt. I know I don't want to be laden with guilt."

And Natalie doesn't think taking the kids on the road is the right soloution.

She said: "That would be the dream but because they go to school, it's hard. Recently they were on holiday so came to our gig and it was so amazing having them there.

"And they're just so supportive - they're not resentful - and they love it. So if we can take that whenever we can, we will."

Because she was the first to have children, Natalie in particular used to struggle with touring in the early days of the band.

She admitted to new! magazine: "I was the only one with a kid and they just didn't understand how I felt. I was so young, and I was lonely, homesick and missed her. It's different now - we all have kids, we're all on the same page."

Melanie Blatt has 17-year-old daughter Lillyella with ex-partner Stuart Zender, while Nicole Appleton is a mother to Gene, 15, with former spouse Liam Gallagher.
