The 76-year-old singer is releasing a special festive mix of the track 'It's Better To Dream' - which is taken from his new album 'Just... Fabulous Rock 'n' Roll' - on November 25.

The song will soon be available to listeners on iTunes and adding something extra for his grateful fans, he will release the track as a special edition Christmas card which will include the CD followed by a self-written personal message by Sir Cliff.

Devout Christian Cliff is synonymous with festive tracks and has scored two Christmas number one singles, 'Mistletoe and Wine' in 1988 and 'Saviour's Day' in 1990, but this is first Yule Tide release since an investigation into sex abuse allegations made against him was dropped in June.

Cliff has also had two other Christmas number ones, 'I Love You' in 1960 with The Shadows and he was part of the Band Aid II line-up which recorded and released 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' in 1989.

Cliff's album 'Just... Fabulous Rock 'n' Roll' includes covers of seminal tracks such as 'Roll Over Beethoven', 'Great Balls of Fire', 'Sweet Little Sixteen' and a duet with Elvis Presley on 'Blue Suede Shoes'.

Cliff is in the battle for the UK Christmas number spot with choir master Gareth Malone and his song 'Only You', James Corden's 'The Greatest Gift For Christmas is Me' which features on this year's Sainsburys festive advert, James Davenport's 'Christmas No.1', Kylie Minogue's cover of Rozalla's 1991 techno hit 'Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)' - which soundtracks Boots current commercial - and the Ed Sheeran-penned track which the eventual winner of 'The X Factor' will record.
