We didn't finish mixing it in time so it's been pushed back
British rockers The Horrors have delayed the release of their forthcoming album until next year (14) after failing to meet studio deadlines.
The Who Can Say hitmakers' fourth project, rumoured to be called TBC, was expected to hit retailers in September (13), but the bandmates reveal fans will have to wait a little longer, although guitarist Josh Hayward insists the postponement may actually be a good thing for the group's music.
He tells NME magazine, "We didn't finish mixing it in time so it's been pushed back. But now we've got more time we'll probably write more songs for it".
Frontman Faris Badwan adds "We basically had the choice between finishing the record and it being one way, or giving it a few more months and it being substantially better. Albums last forever, there's no point rushing it".
