Beady Eye

Beady Eye will play Oasis songs on their tour.

The Liam Gallagher-fronted rock band will dust off tracks made famous by the singer's previous band with brother Noel Gallagher on their UK tour, which kicked off in Manchester yesterday (19.06.13).

Pondering which songs they may play, guitarist Gem Archer is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: "They're always there and we know that we can use them. I'm sure a lot of fans would want to hear them. 'Hung in a Bad Place' would be a good one live, as would 'The Meaning of Soul'.

"There's even stuff like Liam's 'Boy with the Blues' that Oasis never played live which I think would work."

The band previously added two Oasis songs - 'Morning Glory' and 'Rock'n'Roll Star' - to their live set list last year.

Liam insisted at the time he wasn't performing the songs to revisit his success with the chart-topping group, but to give fans "value for money".

He explained: "The way I see it, it's about giving people value for money. It's hard times out there, and if people want to hear a couple of f**king tunes, is it doing any c**t any harm? We're not doing it to get into arenas and we're not doing it to get out of s**tholes. And, you know, if people don't want to hear them then... we'll still do them!"
