Britney Spears will record her new album in Britain's Lake District.

The 'Ooh La La' singer is hard at work on her eighth studio album - a follow-up to 2011's 'Femme Fatale' - and is set to swap plush Los Angeles recording studios for the rural sights of England's largest national park when she works with top British producer Naughty Boy.

The 'La La La' hitmaker is producing tracks for the star's new record and is planning to take her to the Lake District for inspiration.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "He's planning to take Britney on a tour. They'll be holed up at his studio in Ealing for most of the time but he wants to weave in a visit to the Lake District. He loves it there."

Naughty Boy has previously worked with Tinie Tempah and produced most of Emeli Sande's critically acclaimed debut album, 'Our Version of Events'.

The top producer - real name Shahid Khan - also enjoyed chart success when his song 'La La La', featuring Sam Smith, topped the UK singles chart earlier this year.

Naughty Boy recently revealed he and Britney's long-time collaborator William Orbit produced her comeback single, which will be released soon.
