Dizzee Rascal wants to work with Sir Tom Jones.

The hip-hop star - who has teamed up with the likes of Jessie J and will.i.am on his new album, 'The Fifth' - has set his sights on a collaboration with the 72-year-old Welsh crooner because he thinks he is "gangsta".

Dizzee told the Daily Star newspaper: "Tom Jones is the original gangsta so one day I'll get him. I was just lucky other people's schedules meant they could do it. I'm blessed to have Robbie Williams, Tinie Tempah and Sean Kingston on there."

The 27-year-old rapper may have helped put gritty East London genre grime on the map with his debut album 'Boy in Da Corner' at the age of 17, but has left that sound behind and feels he has naturally become more commercial.

He said: "Some people will never let the grime thing go, but my fifth album is not meant to sound like my first album. You can't have an album containing all the same things."

Dizzee added 'The Fifth' came from spending months working with producers including Lady Gaga collaborator Red One in the US.

He added: "It's the most positive, happy album I could make over three years. I wrote a lot about my experiences in America, a lot of it is me soaking up Los Angeles, Miami and Houston."
