Christina Aguilera wants to collaborate with Ed Sheeran.

The 'Your Body' singer selected the British star as her guest mentor on the US version of singing reality competition, 'The Voice', and now hopes to work with him in the recording studio, too.

She told 'Extra': "I see a collaboration in the works hopefully. I would love to collaborate with this guy - he's super talented."

Ed, 22, expressed interest in a potential duet and revealed he's particularly a fan of Christina's older material - including her seminal 2002 album 'Stripped', and 2006's jazz-inspired 'Back to Basics'.

He added: "I've made some neo-soul songs if you want to get back into that? That was the stuff!"

The 'Gimme Love' crooner is currently supporting pal Taylor Swift on her 'Red Tour' in the US and recently announced he will headline his own show at New York City's famed Madison Square Garden in November.

Meanwhile, Christina, 32, has experienced a dip in her music career in recent years after her most recent albums - 2010's 'Bionic' and 2012's 'Lotus' - marked her lowest-selling records to date.
