Kodaline

Kodaline wish they had written The Beatles hit 'Hey Jude'.

The Irish band are "massive fans" of the classic pop group and vocalist Steve Garrigan said he wished he had written their classic 1968 single.

Guitarist Mark Prendergast added he also wishes he penned 'Romeo and Juliet' by Dire Straits, whilst Steve also chose 'Change is Gonna Come' by Sam Cooke.

Being Beatles fans the boys were pleased to say they are friends with singer John Lennon's son, Julian.

Speaking to Music Unlimited, the music streaming service from Sony Entertainment Network, Mark said: "We played a show in New York and he came and took photos and hung out and had a few beers with us. We email now and again. Because we are massive Beatles fans, to be friends with him is cool."

In terms of their own songs, Kodaline's favourite from their debut album is 'It All Comes Down To You'.

Vocalist Mark said "It is one of our oldest songs and we got this big choir section at the end. We were down in the country in Ireland and we invited about 20 of our friends just to come down to the studio. We had a few beers and a bit of a party and then we just all got round the microphone and sang it. It's just our mates singing it really but we are really happy with the sound."
