Trent Reznor doesn't like Kanye West's "vulgarity and bravado".

The Nine Inch Nails leader was cited as a possible influence on Kanye's latest album, 'Yeezus', but he's not sure how he feels about the way the rapper's personality and music are intertwined.

He told NME.com: "I can't tell how I feel about him. I think he's a talented guy. But I don't want to like him. There's something unlikable about his vulgarity and bravado.

"But within that, within this circus he creates around himself, there's something about him that is the perfect entertainer for 2013.

"The new album is interesting in the same way. But if you remove the personality, I'm not sure it will hold up."

While Trent has also been listening to other current music, such as electronic group Disclosure, he has yet to reach a final judgement on the new record by his old friend David Bowie, 'The Next Day'.

He added: "It sounds familiar in a 'welcome back' kind of way. I was a little put out by the production: It sounded edgy rather than embedded. But I haven't lived with the songs long enough to make up my mind."

Meanwhile, Nine Inch Nails performed a warm up show in London last night (20.08.13) ahead of their appearance at the Reading and Leeds festivals this weekend in the UK. Muse drummer Dominic Howard was in the audience and tweeted to say the band were "killing it".
