Husky Rescue

Husky Rescue

Husky Rescue return with their fourth album The Long Lost Friend plus a brand new line-up consisting of Husky Rescue founder Marko Nyberg, joined by computer whiz kid Anthony Bentley and Swedish/Finnish vocalist Johanna Kalén.

Husky Rescue's last record Ship of Light (2010) was described as 'beautiful' - The Times, 'spine-tingling' - Q and 'ethereal' - Uncut. As the Godfather of contemporary and experimental Nordic pop, Nyberg - alongside Bentley and Kalén - have created something equally spellbinding and unique in The Long Lost Friend.

An album of eight effervescent musical journeys mixing electronica with something Earthy and organic.

It's a crescendo of layered beats, plucked strings and otherworldy sounds blended to create something charmingly gentle yet full and rich.

The Long Lost Friend is out on 2nd June, preceded by the single Tree House out on 20th May.

Both will be released via Husky Rescue's new Finland-based label El Camino. The label's ethos is to offer a more intimate record label and ultimately fan experience, with bespoke cut and art-worked vinyl and a handpicked roster of Finland's finest talent.

El Camino's personal touch is very apt given Husky Rescue's first album release on their label has a theme of long lost friends, inspired by Nyberg reuniting - during the making of the record - with his best friend after fifteen-years apart.
