KT Tunstall

Multi platinum selling singer songwriter KT Tunstall is set to release her first single ‘Feel It All’ from her forthcoming and much-anticipated fourth studio album ‘Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon’ through Virgin Records on 10th June.

‘Feel It All’, the video for which premiered on Vevo at noon, Monday April 29th, is a stunning and heartfelt track - absolute torch-song and twang. It appears on the album in two versions; the original album version, with PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish on drumming duty and recorded at his Bristol studio and the ‘band jam’ version which was recorded live in Tucson.

"It’s probably the most personal song on the album, it was really medicine for me, that song" she says of a track that showcases what is possibly Tunstall’s best ever vocal, rich and intimate.

‘Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon’ represents a return to the delicate simplicity of her early work and an evolution of her sound, with its country-folk tinged undercurrents. Travelling to Tucson, Arizona to record her new album with alt-country leading light Howe Gelb (AKA Giant Sand) KT describes the stunning album as "full of songs from the heart.

The album is made up from two sessions with a season in between them, and KT saw the work as naturally separated into two distinct parts - an 'a' side and a 'b' side. The first batch sees songs like the exquisite ‘Made Of Glass’ and ‘Yellow Flower’ focusing on the themes of mortality, a subject close to her heart following the passing away of her father last year.

The second batch, which included first single, ‘Feel It All’, evokes an ethereal mood, more reflective of deeply felt changes in outlook and shifts in her personal life. Together they add up to Tunstall's most cohesive and affecting album to date.

Since scoring a worldwide hit with her debut album Eye To The Telescope in 2005, which went on to sell more than 4 million copies worldwide and over 1.8m in the UK alone (and a million plus in the US), KT has remained at the forefront of UK singer-songwriter talent.

Two critically acclaimed albums, Drastic Fantastic and Tiger Suit followed in 2007 and 2010 respectively, keeping the platinum sales rolling and cementing the Scottish songtress’s reputation as a major recording talent, as well as a mesmerising live artist.

To co-incide with the album announcement, KT is also announcing a string of solo live dates in June. Tickets are on general sale now. Dates are as follows:
