The UK’s new pop vixen Vela is set to release her debut single ‘Lose It’ (Jester & Bayku – JLS, Pixie Lott, Roll Deep) on the 12th November.

Having been championed by the likes of PopJustice, tipped on Radio 1 as the ‘One To Watch’ by Peter Robinson & Huw Stephens, get ready to hear a lot more from this ambitious and incredibly talented young lady.

Originally from Liverpool, Vela is a successful singer, songwriter and musician bringing her own unique and edgy take on pop into the music industry. Having been snapped up by AATW Records last summer, the rest they say is history.

This last year has seen her working in various studios and jet setting around the world writing her debut album. She has also been joined by some of the biggest names in the industry who she has co-written with, as well as teaming up with some of the best producers in the business.

Vela’s own unique, eclectic brand of pop music has been welcomed by music lovers. Having caught the attention of Channel 4 TV producers, two of Vela’s demos have already featured on hit TV show ‘Made In Chelsea.’

The debut single ‘Lose It’ is a high energy track with an intoxicating bassline and a carefree attitude to match! The video, shot in LA, showcases Vela’s individual and forward thinking style, establishing her support for young British fashion designers such as Nabil Nayal.

Vela’s album is shaping up to be a great body of work, packed with hits and showcasing her as solid artist with an abundance of versatility and depth. Teaming up with the likes of Rymez (Wiley - Heatwave), Xenomania (The Saturdays), TMS (Professor Green; Little Mix; Emeli Sandé) and Andy Chatterley (Kylie; Diana Vickers) to name but a few. Her talent and charisma ensure she will be a very exciting artist to watch in 2012/ 2013.
