‘Teardrops’ is the new single from Brit and Grammy winner Joss Stone’s critically acclaimed album The Soul Sessions Volume 2.
A co-venture between Stone’s own Stone’d Records label, and S-Curve (the label behind the 5 million selling original Soul Sessions), The Soul Sessions Volume 2 was released in the UK through Warner Music last summer. It entered the UK album charts at number 6.
‘Teardrops’, was originally released in 1988 by Womack & Womack and became a global hit, reaching no.1 in Australia and the Netherlands, no.2 in Germany and Switzerland and no.3 in England.
With a range of artists from Elton John and K.D Lang to The XX having covered this classic track, Joss’ Soul Sessions Vol.2 session has given ‘Teardrops’ a fresh and soulful makeover.
