Paramore are one of those bands that everyone around me seems to love, but I just never quite get around to becoming a fan of… I don’t know why, but I think if I’m not a big Hayley Williams lover by now, I may never be.
Their latest album, Brand New Eyes has had a play or two on my work iTunes though, before you all start saying I haven’t given them a chance, and to be honest, I’m quite liking their new single The Only Exception.
The problem is, I think Paramore are in danger of sounding like every other pop-punk band, just with the addition of having a hot girl as the front man as opposed to a cute guy… I mean, if it was your regular floppy haired, tattooed guy singing would you still be a fan?
Anyway, in danger of having over-eyeliner girls hunting me down with pitchforks over the opinion that sex appeal is what’s made this band successful, I’ll let you make your own mind up about the song, check out the video below and let me know… I will concede that Hayley does have a pretty good voice. Happy now?
