Yes Sir Boss is the first band to be signed to Joss Stone’s label Stone’d Records and this is band’s highly anticipated debut EP.

This collection of four tracks are upbeat and catchy from the off and it’s not hard to see why the Yes Sir Boss boys have been making quite a stir of late.

Not Guilty is the opening track and the trumpets at the beginning of the track see the boys mix some jazzy elements into the rock.

Matt Sellors has a very distinctive singing style and this track is brought to life with his vocals and the mixture of instruments that are played on this track.

Again those Blues sounding trumpets are on the beginning of Desperation State, which is the most memorable tracks on the EP.

Like the track before it Desperation State mixes Balkan Blues with indie rock, and while these genres may not be natural bedfellows they really do work so well together.

Pretty Thing is the most laid back track on the EP and it allows the Yes Sir Boss boys to kick back and have a bit of fun.

Never Know rounds off the EP and this is the track that shows off Sellors’ husky vocals there best as he demonstrates that he has a voice that is not only versatile but also has a lot of power.

This is an upbeat and memorable EP mainly because of the unique musical sound that Yes Sir Boss have, they really are unlike anything else out there at the moment.

These four tracks will sound fantastic live and they are already whipping up a storm with their gigs. Having heard these tracks I am really looking forward to a debut album.
