Richard & Adam

Richard & Adam

The fact that two brothers can collaborate with such chemistry in a genre such as this is heartwarming, and so what better way to celebrate those powerful vocals and moving melodies than to release a Christmas album?

That's exactly what Richard & Adam - Britain's Got Talent runners up - have decided to do, and it's a cracker (no pun intended) if this music is your sort of thing.

These two don't need a choir to back up their operatic verse - though they are present at times in a few of the songs. Their talent would be all that's needed to get through the 10 festive carols.

Such classics as 'Away in a Manger' and 'Oh Holy Night' are present on this offering, as well as their single which they hope will claim 2013's Christmas number one, the incomparable 'I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In (on Christmas Day)'.

If you're looking for some easy listening while you hang up your Christmas decorations and shower the house in a tonne of glitter and tinsel, look no further.

The album doesn't have blemishes persay, but it could certainly do with one or two up-tempo tracks to bring some more life to it.

All in all, it's a great effort from what are two obviously very talented siblings.

Richard & Adam's 'The Christmas Album' is available now.
