Single: Adrenalin Junkie
Label: Billie Records
Brit rockers Bleech have the release of their debut album Nude just around the corner but to wet our appetites for that record they have released their new single Adrenalin Junkie this week.
I have to admit this track is not as heavy as I expected it to be but there is a very catchy melody that will have you nodding along.
The main problem I have with this track is Jennifer O'Neill's vocals are just now powerful enough to really drive the song forward and, at times, she is almost drowned out by the heavy guitars.
When she sings 'I'm an adrenalin junkie, where do I go?' I don't really believe her as she doesn't sing with too much conviction, which is a shame as this song has the potential to be so much more.
Adrenalin Junkie is a catchy tune but it doesn't quite hit the heights to make me excited about it. But there aren't too many female fronted rock bands around at the moment so it would be good to see them stick around.
The debut album is just around the corner and I am looking forward to seeing how an entire album sounds.
