Indie pop always has a new darling every week. It's just the nature of the beast. Many fade away, but every now and again a breakthrough success hits through.

Hoping to join the club are Miniature Dinosaurs, the Stirling based quartet looking to make the most of their momentum with the release of Lemonade.

Obsessing over life's little points, Lemonade manages to mix social neurosis with a sense of fun in a strange and very pleasing manner.

Never letting the awkward moments it analyses get through to the music, the track is agressively up tempo, grabbing you from the first few seconds and not stopping until at least some part of you is grinning.

Barry Maclean's vocals are the thing that stand out clearest though. Odd but wonderful in a Brandon Flowers esque way, it makes Lemonade and Miniature Dinosaurs as a whole stand out from a crowd of indie-pop.

Some lovely undercurrents of electro only help to bring the fun, again evoking comparisons with the likes of The Killers and hoping on the band wagon of the quasi-new wave revival.

As light, fizzy and delicious as the citric beverage in question, Lemonade is another highlight from a band to watch out for in the next year.
