Well here we are, it is officially October. It’s time to dust off those coats from the depths of your wardrobe and gorge yourself on pumpkin spice lattes. Whilst I love summer, there is something about the crisp mornings and amber evenings that breathe a sense of hope and new beginnings into these first few weeks of Autumn. I often find there is a lull between my action packed social calendar of the summer months and the absolute craziness of Christmas, so to combat this I have found the best events in London this month….

1) HarvestFest

Gone are the days where the harvest festival meant primary school bake sales and trips to the local farm. Throughout October, rooftop venue Skylight at Tobacco will be transformed into an autumnal dream. Split across four flours, visitors will be treated to a huge array of warming wines and beers, and there will be no shortage of pumpkins. With regular DJ sets and a huge Halloween party on the 31st, HarvestFest is the place to be to eat, drink, dance, and play skittles this autumn.

2) Oktoberfest

If you are looking for a more raucous evening, then Oktoberfest is the place for you. The beer festival, originating in Germany in 1810, gives people the opportunity to get together, drink a lot of beer, and try traditional Germany delicacies such as Sauerkraut and apple strudel.

3) Museums at Night

If drinking is not really your cup of tea… Then Museums at Night may be more up your alley. For a very limited time some of the capitals favourite Museums will be opening up their doors at night. From the London Transport Museum, to the Museum of London, and The Chocolate Museum, we’re sure you’ll be able to find something to pique your interest.

And with that we have entered October. So wrap up warm, embrace the dark walks to the tube station in the morning, and spend time in some of London’s most exciting venues this month!
