With the new season underway, grassroots football is enjoying a surge in uptake across the nation, as we're all allowed out of our houses once more, able to socialise with friends and get out in the sun.
After the Euro 2020 championships came to a close, Google saw searches for 'local football club' and 'local football team' rise by 124% and 58% respectively, showing the inspirational impact that the players in the home nation squads had on those across the country.
Hoping to help elevate the moment, Panasonic Grooming are now looking to sponsor a grassroots team, searching high and low across the UK and inviting those interested to enter a competition for their chance to grab the prize package.
The winning squad will receive the ultimate style package, providing their team with Panasonic sponsored kits, £2,000 in sponsorship money, a styling session with none other than barber to the footballing stars, Sheldon Edwards (aka HD Cutz). The team will also receive a selection of Panasonic Grooming products including the GB80, an all-in-one hair, body and beard trimmer, and the GB86, a wet and dry beard trimmer.
Responsible for the most iconic look of the Euro 2020 tournament, ‘The Phil Foden’, HD Cutz is well placed to talk about style. He says: “Style and football go hand in hand. It’s really important for people in sport to look good. When you look good, you feel good, and it makes you more confident. I’ve trimmed some of the best ballers in the world and I can’t wait to find out who the winning team is and give them the HD treatment with Panasonic Grooming.”
