Like all of us, celebrities have swapped gyms for living rooms to workout in – and former Manchester United and England player Rio Ferdinand has let us in on exactly what he's doing to keep fit at home.

The 41-year-old dad-of-three is still working out five times a week, with the help of PTs Michael Evans and Mel Deane – who has also trained the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Katherine Jenkins – remotely.

Ferdinand says: "When you've been a professional footballer most of your life, fitness is so important to you – it's a massive part of your daily routine. The idea of being unable to train because you can't go to a gym or can't see your personal trainer would be really tough. Even when you're lucky enough to have a lot of equipment at home, as I do."

His trainers have used new platform Amplify Pro to create personalised workouts for Ferdinand that can be accessed virtually.

"Having the video demonstrations sent by Mel and Mike to follow has been brilliant, because like the rest of the country, we're on lockdown here and it's kept us going. Hopefully watching me sweat my way through them will inspire other people too," he says.

Ferdinand's fitness routine is available on the app. Every workout can be done without any gym equipment. Visit amplifypro.life.
