Jenny Frost has teamed up with Oreo for the new Oreo: Make The Kitchen Your Playground campaign which encourage parents to get into the kitchen with their children.

We caught up with her to chat about the campaign, how she got involved as well as being a mum.

- Hi Jenny! Can you tell us a little bit about the campaign and why you got involved?

I got asked to be involved with Oreo’s Make the Kitchen Your Playground campaign & agreed straight away...It’s so important to spend quality time with our children and having fun in the kitchen is perfect!

Too many parents are using technology as virtual babysitters. My son has his own tablet so I'm not saying kids shouldn’t use them, but it should have limits...lazy parents annoy me!

- You have recently become a mum, congratulations! What is it like managing a busy and successful career with motherhood - where’s the balance?

It’s difficult juggling motherhood & a career...but it’s doable. You have to be very organised, which I never was before.

I was more so after I had Caspar (now 5) but now with twin baby girls added to the mix, I have to be super organised.

Although I'm very lucky as my husband is very supportive & knows it’s important for me & for my sanity to get out & take my Mum hat off from time to time!

- How would you describe your parenting style?

I'm quite laid back with most things but am very strict when it comes to good manners...I honestly couldn't be more proud of Caspar he's outgoing, confident, funny and has impeccable manners. That plus health you can't ask for more in a 5 year old.

- What has been the most challenging aspect of parenting for you?

My biggest parenting challenge has come very recently. Having twins, there is a certain element of guilt involved...I'm on my own with the girls quite a lot (my husbands at work & Caspar at school).

And it’s difficult to give them both your full attention and I'm often asking myself "Am I stimulating them enough? Am I cuddling them the same amount?"

It’s very different than having one baby but it’s very easy to over analyse things.....I do this a lot!

- What’s the best parenting advice you’ve ever been given, and who from?

It’s not really advice but I've learnt a lot from watching my Husband, he’s so calm, nothing fazes him, the complete opposite to me and that has really rubbed off on me & my parenting techniques.

- Tell us your top three mummy tips

You can never cuddle & kiss your kids too much. Remember to take time for yourself. And time for your partner. And if things are starting to get on top of me, I just remind myself....I'm too blessed to be stressed!!

- What one parenting product would you recommend to new mums?

I breast fed the girls but because they were premature they couldn't latch on & they also spent a week in hospital, so breastfeeding would have been impossible without my Medela electric breast pump.

I breast fed them for 6 weeks & the pump meant my husband could help do the night feeds too.

- Would you ever encourage your children to get into the showbiz/entertainment world like you did?

I'll always encourage them to follow their passion, if that’s showbiz then that’s that, but I'd rather it wasn't!

- You’ve always looked fabulous! Do you have a fitness/diet regime that you swear by, what do you do to keep in shape?

I'm going to start a fitness regime any day now....I need to, bikini season is fast approaching & I'm not bikini ready! But I genuinely hate exercise & genuinely love chocolate, cheese & wine!

- For you, what’s the best thing about being a mum?

For me there is not a thing in the world that comes close to being a Mum...when you hear one of your kids doing a proper full on belly laugh......it’s simply incomparable!

- What’s the best parenting advice you can give?

Choose your battles & don't nag.........kids are kids, they're messy & loud and if you get on their case about silly things, when you actually need them to listen to you, you'll find they tune out.

- Are there any celebrity mums you admire, and why?

I think the way Myleene Klass has handled the tough year or so that she has had is to be admired....she's proof of when the going gets tough the tough get going.

- Stepping away from parenting - what’s the one beauty product you swear by?

My makeup artist & best friend of 20 years Cassie Lomas very politely said I looked knackered & suggested I try Clarins Instant light complexion perfector as it gives a healthy glow....I'm now hooked!

- Finally, what’s coming up for you for the rest of the year?

I'm taking it slow at the moment because of the girls & am very fortunate to be able to be selective with what work I chose to take on.
