Details: Visitors to the SEA LIFE London Aquarium will have the opportunity to help end whaling this summer as the attraction joins SEA LIFE Centre’s worldwide in a major new marine conservation campaign.  

Spearheaded by The SEA LIFE Trust and the WDC (Whale and Dolphin Conservation), the campaign aims to stop the trafficking of whale products. As well as asking the public to sign a petition, the charity is also urging them to "wail for whales".

Guests to the attraction can visit a special conservation area throughout the summer with interactive content highlighting the issue including immediate sign up to the petition by iPad. The aim is to gather a million signatures by September.

Details: Although this festival may begin at the end of the summer holidays, as it provides plenty of educational activities it will be a perfect end to begin a new school year. The Children’s Marquee will play host to some amazing stars from the world of children's (and adult's) literature. The cool and hip Benjamin Zephaniah, and Costa Prize winner Sally Gardner will read to the under 7s. They will be joined by rising Brazilian talent Socorro Acioli and Brazilian 'Grande Dame' Ana Maria Machado.

Bandits, Carnival Creatures and the Rainforest - Brazil's backdrop provides a wealth of artistic activities for kids. Art Workshops throughout the weekend. In addition kids can help to create a larger-than-life carnival backpack of exotic rainforest birds with artist Bekka Tozer.
