Recently we mapped out the locations of RichMeetBeautiful’s British members, finding out the UK’s top 25 towns and cities - with the highest increase in sign-ups since we launched in the country - where Sugar Daddies, Sugar Mamas and Sugar Babies call home.
Surprisingly, we found out some smaller population areas like the genteel city of Bath known for its dignified elegance, boasts a 9.3% increase in sign-ups in recent months, while Stoke-on-Trent, known primarily for its pottery industry, sees a whopping 6.5% rise. Both of these towns made it to the top 10. This surprise made me wonder what do sugar daters look for in a city?
For those unfamiliar with sugar dating terms, let’s explain the types of people involved. There are sugar daddies and sugar mamas who look for sugar babies. The first two are essentially wealthy individuals who do not mind spoiling others with treats and providing support when dating, whilst sugar babies are those who love to be spoilt when in relationship and aspire to better lifestyles from sugar ‘providers’ .
Sugar providers (daddies or mamas) themselves are usually in two types, those who retired from professional careers and enjoying their well-deserved leisure time and hard earned money, and those who are still working hard and enjoying a busy and pretty wealthy life. Both like to spend their time with younger beautiful partners.
We asked some of our most active members what they looked for in a city with reference to sugar dating and here are their key points:
Good travel connections: Sugar Dating often involves travel from one city to another to meet or for shared weekends away in smart locations including glamorous overseas destinations. It’s a fact that many sugar providers like to take their dates away on luxury holidays. Sugar dating has no frontiers so a city with good connections by rail, road and airport is a must.
Peace and quiet: Many sugar daters like to escape the hustle of bigger cities and find calm spots where they can enjoy their precious relaxation time with beautiful companions. That’s why smaller cities like Bath, Stoke-on-Trent and Sheffield are some of the most prevalent according to our RichMeetBeautiful members’ locations.
Access to university areas: London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Edinburgh are just some of the cities where our male and female students seek a mutually satisfactory relationship with mature successful people while attending college. These cities tend to be prime venues for sugar daters to look for new partners.
Entrepreneurial hubs: Not all our RichMeetBeautiful sugar babies are still in Uni. Some are now young entrepreneurs in their own right with clear goals in life and aim for a lifestyle that matches their passion and drive. Many sugar daddies and mamas are themselves successful accomplished business owners and executives who like to share insights, pass on experience and mentor their younger companions as well as enjoy a smart lifestyle together.
Smart shopping centers: Sugar babies love being spoiled with shopping trips and treats by their more successful mature partners so a mix of glamorous and practical shopping venues is a great indicator that sugar daters can have an enjoyable fun filled shopping day in these cities.
Leisure venues: Sugar daters love to… date… and look for interesting, fun, enjoyable venues to meet and share exciting activities and fun times. Spa Days, glamorous hotels, fine dining, theatres, cinema, and thriving bars and restaurant cultures provide the very best city environments for sugar daters to share their time together to the fullest.
Parks and recreation: Most sugar daters enjoy all the traditional elements that romantic couples thrive on, including walks in parks, great views, riversides, picnic spots, riverboat or carriage rides, lamp lit evenings and tourist attractions. Sugar daters love to travel to cities where, especially in summer, the very best of British atmosphere and scenery can add enjoyment to a day out or a weekend away.
