Jessica started her acting career in TV in 2004 when she appeared in one episode of ER. From there she went on to star in a TV movie of Dark Shadows and Law and Order but it was in 2008 that her film career begun.

She starred in her first film Jolene as the protagonist of the same name and won a Seattle International Film Festival Award for Best Actress.

In 2010 she went on to star in The Debt alongside Terminator star Sam Worthington and played the younger version of Helen Mirren’s character Rachel Singer for which she won three awards.

In 2011 she played roles in both Ralph Fiennes’ Coriolanus and Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life. Both films included an all-star cast and her role in The Tree of Life won her five awards.

Her breakout role came in The Help. She played Celia Foote and the film itself was well received as was her ditsy character. She was nominated for nine awards and won five of them including a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Ever since she has been unstoppable, she’s bagged the voice of Gia in Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted and she’s currently starring in Lawless.

She’s stars alongside a A-list case of Tom Hardy, Shia LeBouf, Gary Oldman, Mia Wasikowska and Guy Pearce in the Western Crime Drama set in the Depression era.

The film follows the Bondurant brothers as they bootleg in Virginia and the trouble they come across on their journey.

Jessica has a range of upcoming films, including the hotly anticipated Zero Dark Thirty which chronicles the decade long hunt for terrorist Osama Bin Laden.
