Celebrity Dating History: Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow turns 41 today, so we she who she has dated over the years.

When she was 24 Paltrow got engaged to actor Brad Pitt, who she dated from 1994-1997, after they met on the set of Seven, however it was quickly called off as she said that she was not ready for marriage. She later revealed that she was ‘such a mess’ during that time and thought she was responsible for hurting the actor.

Following this Paltrow was more careful about what she said to the press; she told Biography magazine, "I said things about being in a relationship [with Brad Pitt] that felt wrong to me even as I was saying them." (Wikipedia)

Paltrow then went onto date actor Ben Affleck from 1997-2000 after they met at the premiere of Good Will Hunting. After their break up, they starred in the film Bounce together and during the filming process they began dating again, until they broke up in 2000.

Paltrow said; Affleck "makes life tough for himself. He's got a lot of complications, and you know, he really is a great guy." Affleck responded: "She's probably right about that. I trust her opinion about most things. Not all, but most. I think I probably do get in my own way."(Wikipedia)

Paltrow met Chris Martin of Coldplay fame backstage at one go their gigs for their second album A Rush of Blood to the Head, only three weeks after her father died. Martin helped Paltrow heal after her father’s death and the song ‘Fix You’ and ‘Swallowed in the Sea’ is written for her.

They got married on the 5^th December 2003 in Southern California without any of their friends and family.

They now have two children together Apple Blythe Alison and a son Moses Bruce Anthony. Martin wrote Paltrow a song for their wedding called ‘Moses’ hence their son’s name.
