Divorced And Dating Again (DADA) men are far more committed to finding their next significant other that their female counterparts and are proactively dedicating time and money in the hunt.

A staggering 42% of DADA men questioned said they would be prepared to pay for a professional pick up artist to chaperone them on a date, in order to help improve their chat-up technique, compared to just 18% of females in the same situation.

Similarly, when questioned, 31% of male DADA respondents stated that they actively use internet dating websites to ‘up their dating game’ since their divorce, with women lagging behind at only 19%.

Male respondents seemed to hold little regard for the maxim ‘once bitten twice as shy,’ with 47% of male DADAs stating that they were actively looking to tie the knot again compared to just 20% of female DADAs.

The poll which was carried out to celebrate the Blu-Ray and DVD release of hit romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love, highlighted that despite their dedication to get make it back up the aisle, male DADAs agreed that dating post-divorce took significant nerve, with 78% of male respondents admitting to feeling intimidated when approaching an attractive woman in a bar.

Results that indicate men are less than confident daters the second time around, are further supported by a rise in the number of one-on-one wingmen and women services taking off in the UK - with in-excess of 20 dedicated date coaching services now operating.

Mini Lane, a professional wing-woman who helps men improve dating prowess comments; "Dating is a complicated game for men and more so for those that are starting all over again, having been off the dating scene for a number of years.

"Our teaching focusses on giving our students the skills to help develop meaningful conversation, dress and groom themselves in a way that flatters their physique, hold themselves well and develop their body language, as well as develop their confidence and strength of character".

Crazy, Stupid, Love stars Steve Carell as fortysomething and newly separated, Cal. In today's single world, Cal, who hasn't dated in decades, stands out as the epitome of un-smooth.

Spending his free evenings sulking alone at a local bar, he is taken on as wingman and protégé to handsome lothario Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling). Crazy, Stupid, Love, out on  Blu-ray Triple Play, DVD and digital download now.
