Clooney celebrates his 53rd birthday today, so we take a trip down memory lane and look back at his romantic interests- there have been a few!

The ER star married actress Talia Balsam in Las Vegas from 1989 to 1993, when they divorced in 2007 he announced that he would never marry again. Actresses Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman both bet him $10,000 each that he would have a child by the time he was 40. Given that they were both wrong they sent him a cheque. He returned the money and bet them double or nothing that he wouldn't have kids by age 50.
He then had a relationship with actress Ginger Lynn Allen.
In 2000 Clooney met model Lisa Snowdon the set of a Martini ad and was on and off for five years with her.
In 2007 he began seeing Sarah Larson; however they broke up less than a year later. While they were together, they suffered a motorcycle accident- she broke some toes and he broke his rib.
He then began to date Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis, until they broke up in June 2011.
A month later he was back on the dating scene and was involved with WWE Dive Stacy Keibler, however their relationship only lasted two years.
Clooney has also been attached to actress Kelly Preston (1987-1989), whom he lived with when they were both struggling actors. She gave him a pet pig named Max who sadly died on the 1st December 2006 after having him for 18 years.

On 28th April 2014, he got engaged to British-Lebanese human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
They got their marriage licences at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on August 7th 2014 and were officially married on the 27th September 2014 as Ca' Farsetti in Venice's city hall, Italy officiated by Clooney's friend Walter Veltroni- the former mayor of Rome. Two days later they had a bigger ceremony, that included famous faces such as Bono, Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Richard Kern and Anne Wintour.
In October 2014, the couple bought the Mill House on an island in the River Thames at Sonning Eye in England- which reportedly cost 10 million.
