Relationships: What Do You Look For in a Partner?

Relationships: What Do You Look For in a Partner?

Good looks, personality, humour – what is it that you’re looking for in a partner?

Traditionally it is thought that we all go for people who look the most attractive when we’re looking for a partner.

Don’t get us wrong, we’re no different, if Ryan Gosling walked up to us and asked us to marry him we’d be down that aisle fast as a shot.

But research has shown that good looks aren’t always the bonus that they appear to be.

In fact, vouchercodespro.co.uk found that men would actually go for a lesser attractive woman to avoid the ‘maintenance’ issues that come with a super model-like girlfriend.

And here we were thinking that men were incredibly superficial!

This got us thinking, would we women do the same? Scott Disick is reported to take over 30 minutes deciding which watch to wear on any given day.

Thirty minutes. To choose a watch. A watch. If you thought women took forever to get ready then just take a second to think about how much longer it would take us if we took 30 minutes to decide on a watch!

He also spends half an hour in the shower and the same amount of time moisturising, and this is an everyday occurrence!

Now we wouldn’t say Scott Disick is our ideal man, but should Tom Hardy have the same habits, I think we’d have to leave him and his high maintenance ways behind.

No women can be with a man who takes double the time she does to get ready; it’s against the laws of nature!

Luckily, the research also shows that it is actually a sense of humour that will get you the furthest when it comes to catching a potential partner’s eye.

In fact, looks was actually fourth on the list proving that looks aren’t everything in a relationship – thank god!
