Colds and flu- Sex is much harder when you can barely breathe at rest.

Relationships on Female First

High energy bills- You stick the heating on and worry later because that's how you both roll at this time of year.

How dark it is in the mornings- Neither of you wants to get up because it feels so wrong so you end up fighting for the shower and being late most mornings.

The weather- It makes everything you do an effort- going to work, popping to the shops or just leaving the house to get to your car.

Christmas Markets- You go every year because it's Christmas and you think it will get you both in the mood. In reality, all you want to do is leave at the first hint of a crowd and swear never to return.

Festive songs- If your partner dares to sing one you seriously consider giving them their Christmas dinner in the shed.

Saving for presents- You never have any money for couply stuff because it's being spent on every other Tom, Dick and Harry.

Getting up early to de-ice the car- Yet another reason to take you from the warm cuddles of your loved one.

Feeling miserable- Darker nights kills the buzz for you both. Normally you can pull each other out of a slump but not in winter.

Clocks going back- And neither of you can be bothered to change all of the clocks in your house, so you never know the right time.

Everyone's grumpy- Which means you're grumpy with each other because you take everything out on the person you love the most.

People being dramatic about bad weather conditions- There's one in every relationship- the first fall of snow and they start to stock pile food and get their partner to drive everywhere.

People wearing summer clothes and then complaining that they're cold- You tell your partner over and over to wrap up warm but they insist that they'll be fine. Then you have to hear them moan for the rest of the day.

More parents clogging up roads by driving children to school- You know you and your partner will be doing the same someday but today neither of you has any sympathy.

Commuting- You could have had an extra hour in bed with your SO and still turned up at the same time at work as you have each day.

Rubbish on the TV- You find yourselves in a terrible/repetitious TV time warp.

Trying to use your phone while wearing gloves- It's just not possible unless one of you has had the sense to buy special gloves- but neither of you is that prepared. Winter is a time for call backs and voicemails because you just can't answer each other's calls on time.

Having to carry an umbrella everywhere- Which one of you will inevitably fall over and blame the other for poor umbrella usage.

Cost of going out- Everything you want to do costs twice as much as it would normally so you stay in in true Grinch couple fashion.
